About this experience
This is the big one — the complete Zambezi experience. Starting at 8am, you will run all 25 rapids of the Batoka Gorge over seven to eight hours, the most complete commercial rafting day on the river. Between the white water you drift through towering gorge scenery, stop for a riverside lunch, and finish with the legendary hike out of the gorge. It is a full, demanding, unforgettable day led entirely by guides who call this river home.

When it runs
Runs most of the year. Low water (~Aug–Dec) is the full long season; high water (~Jan–Mar, Jun–Jul) is shortened. Rafting is usually suspended at peak flood (~Apr–May).
Full-day trips depart at 8am sharp — we will confirm your pickup time the day before.

What time does it start and finish?+
Pickup is early for an 8am put-in, and you will usually be back at your lodge in the late afternoon.
How hard is the hike out?+
It is a steep climb out of the gorge at the end of the day. Take it slowly — your guides do this every day and will keep the group together.
